Braze Account Setup

Overview

Setting up your Braze account is the first step to start sending campaigns, tracking user data, and building customer journeys.

This guide walks you through the basic setup process.


Step 1: Get Access

To begin:

  • Receive your Braze login credentials

  • Access your dashboard via your Braze workspace URL

  • Log in with your email and password


Step 2: Configure Workspace

After login:

  • Set your company name

  • Configure timezone

  • Set default currency (if applicable)

These settings ensure accurate campaign scheduling and reporting.


Step 3: Add Team Members

Invite your team:

  • Go to Settings → User Management

  • Add users via email

  • Assign roles (Admin, Marketer, Developer, Analyst)


Step 4: Set Up Channels

Enable messaging channels:

  • Email (configure sending domain)

  • Push notifications (iOS/Android setup)

  • SMS (via provider integration)

  • In-app messages


Step 5: Integrate SDK

To track user activity:

  • Install Braze SDK in your app or website

  • Configure API keys

  • Start sending user data (events & attributes)


Step 6: Verify Data Flow

Before launching campaigns:

  • Check if users are being tracked

  • Validate events and attributes

  • Use test users/devices


Step 7: Send Your First Test Campaign

  • Create a simple campaign

  • Target test users

  • Verify delivery and performance


Common Setup Issues

  • SDK not sending data

  • Email domain not verified

  • Push notifications not configured correctly
