    Salesforce Reports are the native query layer — tabular, summary, matrix, and joined reports built against your Salesforce data. Salesforce Dashboards visualise report data as charts, gauges, and tables in a configurable layout. CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM / Einstein Analytics) is a separate advanced analytics layer that processes larger datasets, supports SAQL queries for complex calculations, integrates external data sources, and powers Einstein AI predictions — going significantly beyond what the native report and dashboard builder can do. We use all three and recommend the right tool for each business question.

  • When do I need CRM Analytics instead of standard Salesforce reports?

    You need CRM Analytics when: your dashboards need to combine Salesforce data with external data sources (ERP, finance, HRIS); your dataset is too large for native reports to process without timing out; you need complex aggregations, period-over-period comparisons, or predictive analytics that SAQL supports but the native report builder cannot handle; or you need the interactive exploration capabilities (filter chains, step filters, comparator widgets) that CRM Analytics provides.
